DeveloperZ - Website Developer Resources

Since this site is devoted to the website developer, let's walk through a little of what developing Developerz.com was like.

Before anything else, you need a domain name. The domain that you use needs to fit the main focus of the site that you intend to make. That way, people can identify your domain name with your content so its easier for them to find your site again in the future. With Developerz.com, I had bought the domain months earlier because I knew that I would use it someday.

Next came deciding on the basic idea behind the site. With Developerz.com, I wanted something more than just an ordinary web developer's resource site. In addition to general resources, we offer website ideas, website reviews, and daily developer comments that give you a hands-on insight into developing.

After the focus of the site was decided on, the look of the site was next. I knew that I wanted the "Z" in Developerz to stand out and the guy who designed this site did a perfect job incorporating that into the site with flashy and fresh colors.  After he finished, the "Z" is now taking on a life of its own :).

After the graphics and overall look of the site was done, it was just a matter of filling in the quality content and finding a host in order to go live with the site. For hosting, I used an Asian-based host called ICDSoft because they offer individual hosting accounts at a great price with an easy-to-check email client. Presto, Developerz.com is born.
